Ramp4x4 Privacy Policy

Health and fitness data

With your permission, Ramp4x4 reads and writes supported data through Apple HealthKit. Depending on the workout and device, this may include workouts, heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, walking or running distance, cycling distance, step count, running power, workout routes, VO₂ max, and date of birth for an on-device age estimate.

Ramp4x4 uses this information to run and save workouts, calculate training guidance, seed heart-rate targets, and show history and trends. Detailed HealthKit records are handled on your devices and through your Apple Health account. We do not receive or store your HealthKit records on servers we control, and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising.

You can review or revoke Health permissions in the Apple Health app or in system Settings. Apple controls Health data stored in Apple Health.

Location and workout routes

If you allow location access for an outdoor workout, Ramp4x4 uses location during that workout to calculate supported distance, pace, and route information. The route may be saved to Apple Health. We do not collect or store precise location or workout routes on servers we control, and precise location is forbidden in general product analytics.

Bluetooth heart-rate monitors

If you choose a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitor, Ramp4x4 scans for nearby devices that advertise the Bluetooth Heart Rate Service and reads live heart-rate measurements from the device you select. Device discovery, connection state, and heart-rate processing occur on your iPhone. Product analytics may record broad connection outcomes or device categories, but not a sensor name, hardware identifier, or raw BPM value.

Local app data and Apple-device communication

Your athlete profile, completed workout history, and active-workout recovery journal are stored in protected local app files that become available after the first device unlock and are excluded from device backup. Presets, plans, coaching choices, and other preferences also remain local.

Ramp4x4 no longer writes or restores health, profile, or workout-history records through iCloud key-value storage. When an upgraded app finds historical Ramp4x4 health or workout keys there, it deletes them without importing their contents. Records separately saved to Apple Health remain subject to your Apple Health and Apple-account controls.

When your iPhone and Apple Watch communicate, workout state and supported measurements are exchanged through Apple system frameworks between your devices. Archline Labs does not operate a server for that connection.

Notifications, Live Activities, and system surfaces

If you enable them, Ramp4x4 schedules workout cues, plan reminders, lapse reminders, and weekly recaps through Apple’s local notification system. Ramp4x4 does not need an Archline Labs push-notification server for these reminders. Notification text can appear on your Lock Screen according to your system settings.

Live Activities, Dynamic Island, widgets, and Apple Watch system surfaces can display workout state. If you enable the optional Live Activity heart-rate setting, heart rate may be visible on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. People who can see your device may also see that information; you can turn the setting off in Ramp4x4 or disable the system surface.

Sharing, exports, and Photos

When you choose to share a result, export workout data, or save a summary image, Ramp4x4 prepares the selected content on your device and passes it to the Apple share sheet, Files, Photos, or the destination you choose. Those services and recipients process the content under their own terms. Ramp4x4 requests add-only Photos access when you choose to save a summary image.

Purchases and subscriptions

Ramp4x4 Premium is an auto-renewable subscription processed by Apple. Apple handles payment-card information, billing, cancellations, and refunds. Ramp4x4 uses RevenueCat to manage entitlement and subscription state. RevenueCat may receive a random app-install identifier, product and entitlement information, purchase or restore status, and privacy-safe acquisition context. We do not receive your payment-card details.

App diagnostics, analytics, and attribution

Ramp4x4 uses the following processors to keep the app reliable, manage subscriptions, and understand whether features and acquisition channels work:

• PostHog receives pseudonymous product events such as app opened, onboarding completed, workout started or completed, subscription screen viewed, reminder actions, and broad Bluetooth connection outcomes. If you voluntarily answer an in-app survey, PostHog may receive the selected rating and up to 500 characters of text you submit.
• Sentry receives crash, hang, error, performance, app version, build, device family, and operating-system diagnostics. Share Analytics does not disable essential crash and operational diagnostics.
• Tenjin receives app-open attribution, a pseudonymous installation or vendor identifier, campaign context, and a small allowlisted set of non-revenue funnel events. The app does not send IDFA or Tenjin’s IP-address device parameter, and probabilistic matching is disabled.
• RevenueCat receives the subscription and entitlement information described above and sends verified subscription lifecycle information to configured analytics and attribution integrations.

Apple AdServices may provide Apple Ads campaign attribution. Analytics and attribution can also include a random Keychain-backed install identifier, app version and build, device family, operating-system version, release channel, broad acquisition source, App Store campaign, deep-link source, and the optional answer you provide when asked how you heard about Ramp4x4. PostHog may derive an approximate country or region from the network address used to deliver a request.

General product analytics are designed to reject raw BPM, exact heart-rate targets, raw samples, exact VO₂ max, precise location, route coordinates, distance, pace, power, cadence, calories, and workout scores. We do not attach your name, email address, Apple ID, or payment-card details to product analytics.

You can turn off Share Analytics in Ramp4x4 settings. Turning it off stops PostHog product events, Tenjin app events, optional survey capture, and nonessential attribution. It does not prevent Apple from processing App Store transactions, RevenueCat from maintaining an entitlement needed to provide Premium, or essential crash diagnostics used to keep the app operational.

RampWorkout website analytics

Before you make a choice on rampworkout.com, the site sends no PostHog analytics. If you accept, PostHog stores a first-party identifier so visits and product actions can be connected across sessions. Accepted visits may contribute to heatmaps and privacy-masked session replay. Inputs and page text are masked, request and response bodies are removed, and URL query strings are stripped from replay. If you decline, the site sends no analytics, records no replay, and stores no analytics identifier.

When you select an App Store link on rampworkout.com or archlinelabs.com, the link may first pass through Tenjin. Tenjin may receive the campaign, destination, basic browser or device context, and network information needed to deliver and attribute the click before redirecting you to Apple.

You can change the RampWorkout website choice at any time with the Privacy choices control. The Archline Labs company and education site has a separate website privacy policy and a separate analytics dataset.

Support and communications

If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to provide. We use it to respond, diagnose the issue, prevent abuse, and keep a reasonable support record. Do not send detailed health records unless they are necessary for your request and you are comfortable doing so.

How long information is kept

Local app data remains until you delete records where supported or remove the app. Apple controls data retained in Apple Health and the App Store. We retain support communications and pseudonymous service data only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, product measurement, legal obligations, and the purposes described here. Provider backups and legally required records may persist for a limited additional period.

Legal bases and international processing

Where the EEA or UK GDPR applies, website analytics are based on your consent. App diagnostics, optional pseudonymous product analytics, attribution, support, and security are processed as needed to provide the service, fulfill a contract, comply with law, or pursue our legitimate interests in reliability and product improvement, balanced against your rights. You can object to optional app analytics by turning off Share Analytics.

PostHog, Sentry, Tenjin, and RevenueCat may process information in the United States and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. International transfers are handled through applicable contractual safeguards.

Your choices and rights

• Health, location, Bluetooth, Photos, and notifications: manage permissions in system Settings and the Apple Health app.
• Product analytics: turn off Share Analytics in Ramp4x4 settings.
• Website analytics: use Privacy choices on rampworkout.com.
• Local history: delete records where supported or remove the app. Removing a Ramp4x4 record does not automatically delete a separate Apple Health record.
• Privacy request: ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where applicable by emailing us. Because detailed health and workout data is not stored on our servers, most of that data must be managed on your devices or through Apple.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to appeal a privacy decision or complain to a data-protection authority.

Children

Ramp4x4 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal data can contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ramp4x4 changes. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Material changes apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.
